FinanceMalta is the public-private initiative set up as a Foundation to promote Malta as an International Financial Centre.

FinanceMalta is registered as a social purpose Foundation with Foundations and Associations Unit at the Malta Business Registry (LPF-70). It is mainly regulated by its own Deed of Foundation and accountable to its Board of Governors which is made up of five Governors who are appointed by the Government of Malta (one Governor is non-voting), and four Governors appointed by the industry Founder Associations. The Founder Associations are: the Malta Asset Servicing Association, the Malta Bankers’ Association, the Malta Insurance Association, the Malta Insurance Management Association, the Association of Insurance Brokers, and the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners.
