General description of the categories of documents the department/directorate/entity holds (including exempt documents)FinanceMalta is registered as a social purpose Foundation with Foundations and Associations Unit at the Malta Business Registry (LPF-70). It is mainly regulated by its own Deed of Foundation and accountable to its Board of Governors who are appointed by the Government of Malta (one Governor is non-voting), and four Governors appointed by the industry Founder Associations. The Founder Associations are: the Malta Asset Servicing Association, the Malta Bankers' Association, the Malta Insurance Association, the Malta Insurance Management Association, the Association of Insurance Brokers, and the Institute of Financial Service Practitioners.
