The Malta Bankers’ Association (MBA) and Archi+ are teaming up for the second year running to host a workshop on real estate finance and valuation that will take place over two days, on the 28 February and 7 March 2024.Titled ‘The impact of ESG and sustainability on real estate investment, finance, and valuation’, the 2024 workshop takes a focused approach on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), in acknowledgement of both the timely nature of the topic and the importance of ESG considerations in real estate finance.Venue: The Xara Lodge, Rabat.Time: 8.30 am (registration); 9.00 am till 1.00 pm.The applicable registration fees are:

• The physical event will delve into several topics such as The Emergence and Context of ESG, Green Buildings and Ratings, The Business Case for Green, Exploring Limitations and Gaps in ESG, Social & Governance Considerations in ESG Investment and Valuation.
• The online event which will focus on real estate data and valuation and will include three foreign speakers along with local experts.

SpeakersThe keynote speaker is Dr. Georgia Warren-Myers, Head of ESG Risk in Asia Pacific at JLL, who is one of the leading world experts on the topic.Other speakers include Chris Meilak (EY Malta), Clint Azzopardi Flores (Bank of Valletta p.l.c.), Anthea Huber (Archi+), Michaela Ghigo (Central Bank of Malta), Erica Maria Brincat (Central Bank of Malta) and panelists Michael Warrington (AX Group), David Xuereb (ESG Alliance), Angelique Spina (PwC Malta), Justin Mizzi (Archi+), David Marshall (JLL) and Georgina Chillingworth (JLL).
