The MIT Short Programme on The International Tax Provisions in the Income Tax Act is a specialized and comprehensive programme consisting of a series of lectures, each focusing on a specific aspect of international taxation in the context of the provisions of the Income Tax Act. - Daniela De Cesare - Daniela is a tax lawyer within the Tax and Legal Services Unit of PwC Malta. After graduating as a lawyer in 2009, she moved on to specialize in tax and read for a Masters in Taxation at King’s College, London in 2010 and completed the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation as well as the Diploma in Taxation offered by the Malta Institute of Taxation and a Masters in Taxation.Over the years, Daniela has gained strong experience in domestic and international tax advisory and tax restructuring projects and also regularly advises clients on other areas including capital markets and investment services. Daniela is a visiting lecturer at the Malta Institute of Taxation’s Tax Diploma as well as a lecturer of the ACCA Taxation Module offered by the PwC Academy in Malta.
- Ian Zahra - Ian Zahra is a lawyer by profession and forms part of the international tax team at Deloitte Malta.Following the completion of his studies in law at the University of Malta, he recently graduated in international tax law from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands and worked as a Teaching Assistant at the International Tax Centre (ITC Leiden).
- Christopher Bergedahl - Christopher is a Senior Manager at Deloitte Malta having joined in 2014 as part of its LL.D. Pathway Programme. Christopher provides support in both local and foreign client engagements within the team.In 2017 he graduated summa cum laude from the International Tax Center Leiden following which he served as a Teaching Assistant for the Fall Term of the 2017-2018 class.
- Ruth Bonnici - Ruth is a warranted lawyer and graduated with a Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta in 2016. She read her Advanced Masters in International Taxation at the International Tax Centre, University of Leiden in the Netherlands and graduated cum laude in 2018.In 2015 Ruth joined KPMG Malta and is currently a Senior Manager within the international tax advisory team, being particularly involved in the provision of direct tax advisory services to international corporate clients. Ruth also regularly delivers classes in various courses relating to domestic and international tax.
