LATEST EU TAX INSIGHTS FROM THE IFA EUROPEAN REGION CONFERENCE
ONLINE EVENT ORGANISED BY IFSP, IFA (MALTA BRANCH) AND MIT.
Chris Curmi, President of IFA Malta branch, and Trudy Muscat, Representative of WIN (Women of IFA Network) Malta branch, attended the IFA European Region Conference in Amsterdam, held a few weeks ago. The theme of the Conference was ‘Countering tax avoidance in the European Union and beyond’. Through this session, they will share insights gained from the formal and informal discussions by EU policy leaders, members of the judiciary, and academics. The scientific program of the IFA EU Conference covered tax avoidance, abuse of law, fiscal state aid and dispute resolution, ATAD, the Unshell Directive, the SAFE initiative, the Foreign Subsidies Regulation, and the EU’s green tax agenda. The keynote speeches, panels and informal discussions proved particularly insightful at such a delicate stage of EU tax developments. Through this seminar, Chris Curmi and Trudy Muscat will be sharing their insights with practitioners, to create awareness of the more important tax files being discussed and enable Malta to position itself appropriately. The audience would be welcome to ask questions at the end of the seminar.
