- 11:15 - 11:35 - The Regulator’s consultation and feedback on STOs: the way forward - Lorraine Vella, Deputy Head, Securities and Markets Supervision, MFSAThe presentation will give an overview of the issues tackled in the STO Consultation Document published by the MFSA on 19 July 2019 and the feedback received thereon, concluding by highlighting the challenges and the way forward being proposed by the Authority in this area.
- 11:35 - 11:55 - STO based on Korporatio’s Technology in Malta - Davide Benaglia, Strategic Partnerships Director of Korporatio Inc.The presentation will describe the advantages that blockchain technology applied to Corporate Governance could bring to companies in Malta. In particular, it will focus on the automation of tasks, documents and validations of legally binding actions. The advantages can be summarized in strong reductions of time and monetary consumption and enhanced freedom of action in managing a company of whatever size. Particular reference will be made to STOs and how they can be used by firms of every size as an alternative way to raise funds that are necessary to create, operate or grow businesses. Finally, the presentation will explore what the expansion of opportunities blockchain technology and STOs in particular can lead to in an always more connected and globalized world.
