On Wednesday, 7 June 2023, the European Commission will be hosting in Brussels the annual Joint Conference on European Financial Integration, organised with the European Central Bank (ECB).

This annual conference has established itself as an important meeting place for a high-level exchange of views between policy makers, regulators, industry leaders, representatives of civil society and academics on current themes that matter for financial integration in Europe. It also marks the launch of the annual European Financial Stability and Integration Review.The 2023 conference will zoom into recent market and policy developments and discuss the prospects for further integration in EU capital markets and the banking sector.Confirmed speakers include Mairead McGuinness, European Commissioner for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union, Luis de Guindos, Vice-President, European Central Bank, Nadia Calviño Santamaría, First Vice President and Minister for Economy and Digitalization of Spain, Lorenzo Bini Smaghi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Société Générale and others.
