Prof. Valerie Sollars
Professor Valerie Sollars is the Pro-Rector for Strategic Planning and Sustainability at the University of Malta. An educator by profession, Prof Sollars has researched and published extensively, particularly in the field of early childhood education. Nationally, she has contributed to the drawing up of policy documents and introduced undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of study for early years educators. In 2007, Professor Sollars became the first female in the history of the University of Malta to be elected as Dean of a Faculty. She served as Dean for the Faculty of Education for two terms between 2007 and 2015.
