Sorcha Hellyer

Seasoned communications and branding expert with 25 years of global experience, Sorcha Hellyer is the Co-Founder of Image Diplomacy Ltd, a Maltese-based communications agency representing BBC News (International Commercial) in six nations: Malta, Greece, Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia and Algeria. Along with her husband she also co-founded iD creative solutions Ltd, which is a branding, creative and events agency in Asia. Working closely with government entities she is jointly responsible for improving country brand perception through nation and destination branding initiatives - both on the creative side and the media and communication side. At private sector level, Sorcha has elaborated branding endeavours for over 150 entities from over 30 different business sectors, worked in 27 countries, successfully aiding local companies internationalise and international entities penetrate new frontier markets.  

As an International Consultant (Marketing & Branding) for International Trade Centre since 2014 and as a Creative Coach she has empowered hundreds of SMEs in their branding and marketing efforts in Myanmar, the Seychelles and Comoros, in a myriad of different projects funded by EU members and the EU. More recently she has also partnered on humanitarian shelter project H7 (co-founding Gimme Shelter Global), is an advisor to a local fintech start-up focusing on providing solutions to the underbanked/unbanked in Africa and a consultant for the Swiss-based outfit, Vincinvest which offers structured financial products.
