Mike Portanier
Mike Portanier joined Mediterrania Capital Partners in 2022 as Head of Investor Relations. Mike works actively in fundraising for different products in the Group, oversees reporting and manages all relations with new and existing investors.
In conjunction with the Partners of the firm, Mike supports the strategizing, planning, and follows through the execution of new fundraisings, including market analysis, preparation of fund marketing materials and legal and fund structuring.
Mike’s career began as an auditor with PWC in Malta and following the furthering of his studies, he joined the Leverage Finance Team with CIT Bank in London before moving to New York with the same corporation. Upon his return to Malta, Mike joined Fimbank where, over a span of 6 years, he held a number of middle-management positions in the Projects & Funding Divisions. Prior to joining Mediterrania Capital Partners, Mike held the position of Director & Head of Operations at Spinoza Capital, a Luxembourg-registered UCITS fund.
Mike holds Bachelor’s and Honours degrees from the University of Malta, an MBA from SDA Bocconi in Milan and is a warranted Certified Public Accountant in Malta.
