Martin Bresson
Martin leads the Invest Europe’s public affairs and professional standards team, including members guidance, development of handbooks and advocacy work representing the interests of the association’s private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, and long-term investor members in Brussels. He joined in 2020 from Rud Pedersen Public Affairs where he was Managing Partner & Group Head of Financial Services overseeing the groups client advice on EU policies particularly on financial services and complex corporate issues.
Prior to that he held a similar role as Senior Advisor and Vice President at FleishmanHillard Bruxelles.
Martin came to Bruxelles as lead negotiator on financial services files, with the title of Minister Counsellor, during the Danish presidency to the EU in 2012, responsible for process and agreements made on banking-, insurance- and market regulations as well as overseeing the files on internal market and trade. Prior to this, Martin was Director in the ministry of Economics and Business Affairs amongst other things responsible for the worlds’ first governmental ESG strategy.
Martin holds a Master of Law degree from the University of Copenhagen, as well as post-graduate diplomas in Executive Business Administration and in Conflict & Dispute Resolution.
