Doreanne Caruana

Doreanne is the Head of Corporate Advisory at Rizzo Farrugia. She joined Rizzo Farrugia in early 2014 and has since been involved in managing corporate advisory assignments. She has an extensive banking experience, having spent the first ten years of her professional career in banking, after graduating with an honours degree in Banking & Finance from the University of Malta. Her banking career exposed Doreanne to a range of areas, including international banking, payment services, trade finance, risk management, compliance and corporate finance; as well as a number of international parties, including the IFC (part of the World Bank Group) and large multinational banking groups.

During her time in banking, Doreanne was also involved in the set-up, management and administration of two multi-million funds and has had training in Islamic Finance. Throughout her professional career, Doreanne continued to further her studies and now holds also an Executive MBA awarded by the University of Malta and ACCA accreditation. Doreanne has an aptitude for financial regulation and has attended several courses and seminars by leading law and professional training firms on the subject.
