With more than 550 speakers and 10,000 visitors from 60 countries, the EURO FINANCE WEEK is Europe's largest meeting point for the finance and insurance industry. In approximately 30 conferences with 150 panel discussions, the event provides a comprehensive overview of topics that are currently moving the industry. Numerous evening events, receptions, and award ceremonies complement the week's programme and offer additional networking opportunity.
The 13th EURO FINANCE WEEK takes place from 15 to 19 November 2010 in Frankfurt, Germany, and is held under the auspices of Dr. Wolfgang Schäuble, Federal Minister for Finance, and Roland Koch, Minister President of the State of Hessen.
The thematic focus of the week is traditionally on the integration and regulation of European finance and insurance markets - especially in the context of global efforts to restructure the financial architecture in a post-crisis environment. The lead conferences focusing on regulatory issues are complemented by solutions-oriented conferences on topics such as Retail Banking, Risk Management, Transaction Banking, and Business Process Management.
In addition, the EURO FINANCE WEEK includes an exhibition „Euro Finance Market Place", which serves as a central networking and meeting area and enables follow-up discussions at our partners' exhibition stands. Next to the public conferences, a number of closed Executive Round Tables and evening events provide further opportunity for exchange in an exclusive setting.
A separate programme segment dedicated to career and education promotes the exchange of ideas between junior high potentials from academia and senior executives from the business world. Three separate career fairs offer discussion rounds with decision makers from business and politics and an exhibition area where human resources departments present career options.
Among the highlights of this year's EURO FINANCE WEEK are once again the annual conference of the IFC International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, and the Frankfurt European Banking Congress, Europe's most prestigious banking summit. The closing highlight of the week is the Benefit Gala in Frankfurt's Alte Oper on Friday evening.
